In short: Checking a house in progress against the National Construction Code and the QBCC Standards and Tolerances Guide.
Why check
A build starts with plans. The final house must match them. The NCC sets the standard for Queensland.
Stage inspections
We inspect frames, cladding and roof structure. We check plumbing and electrical work against the approved engineering and drawings.
Tolerances
Construction moves. We use the QBCC Standards and Tolerances Guide to see if variations are acceptable.
Materials
We check for correct use of timber, brick and steel. We look for corrosion on metal fixings.
What the report tells you
A signed inspection report is a record of compliance. We give you a handover inspection list before you take possession.
Written by our local inspection team from work carried out in Greenbank. Licensed building practitioners.
